Building The NETPIL Business and Human Rights Resources Support Platform
In the process of developing a website that will act as an important resource for its members and other interested users, Network for Public Interest Lawyers (NETPIL) worked together with the UCCA to build a Business and Human Rights resources-support platform for the website. With this platform, practitioners’ work will be made easy as Business and Human Rights Resources will be a click away. At the same time, the practitioner will better understand and then litigate on emerging public interest business and Human rights issues. The website, the first of its kind in Uganda, will serve as a comprehensive site on public interest case law and developments in Uganda, and may include regional (East Africa) coverage. This is part of a global initiative dubbed “Action 4 Justice”, which is developing a global PIL site (the hub) that will have country based spokes for domestic content. This site is intended to focus on practical steps for Public Interest Litigation.
